Learn to Create What You See on Phones, Tablets, Computer Screen

It’s called “front-end development”
Also known as UI/UX: User Interface/User Experience

You Can Learn it; Employers Need it; It Pays Well; It is free; COMCAST Covers the Cost

What is It?

It is called coding, or computer programming or hacking or development or computer engineering. They are all fancy names for writing the instructions that tell computers, smart phones, tablets and other devices what to do.

Where?

MSCodes in downtown Jackson 119 North State Street Across from the War Memorial just North of the Old State Capitol Museum

When?

Two hours each Monday to Thursday evenings, and two hours Saturday. Mid-June to early November 20 weeks

What is it Like?

You learn coding mostly by writing code. Most of the time is spent as if you were working as a coder at a software development company. If you visit our current classes at MSCodes, you would see it looks like a development team at work.

Who Shows Me How?

Senior developer/coders with current industry skills, junior coders and recent graduates all from MSCodes.

But I Don’t Know Anything About Coding or Computers:

Don’t worry, you don’t have to. We assume you start without any knowledge of computers and coding. You will know it by the end of the program.

Can I Really Do It?

Yes, but it will require hard mental work and dedication.

Most people who drop out, do so because they lack the dedication and self-confidence. Most can be coders if they work at it.

Like many things in life, if you believe you can do it, you can. If you don’t believe you can do it, you can’t.

It seems a mystery until you do it. You will write your first simple program on the first day.

Many of the best coders are artists, musicians, writers, graphical designers, people with esthetic skills and vision.
