Ergon Foundation, Inc. Awarded a Multi-Year Grant to Support the Mississippi Coding Academies

(Jackson, Miss.) Ergon Foundation, Inc. recently announced the provision of a five-year grant to the Mississippi Coding Academies, to support the expansion of IT education in Mississippi and give-back to the community, which helps to continue developing and growing a skilled workforce in Mississippi to meet the growing employer demand for technical professionals.
On September 16, 2019, instructors and coders from the Mississippi Coding Academies were invited to the Ergon headquarters for a tour of the facility, and to accept the generous donation. “We are humbled and appreciative of not only the generous gift from the Ergon Foundation, but also their support of our efforts to expand this life-changing opportunity to more people in the state,” said Herbert Brown, classroom instructor at the Jackson location.

The Mississippi Coding Academies is a 501(c)3 non-profit launched in 2017, with locations in Jackson and Starkville, offering a no-cost, 11-month program to transform high school or college graduates into certified full-stack computer coders and web developers.
