Bob Buseck Named Executive Director of Mississippi Coding Academies

[Jackson, Miss.] Mississippi Coding Academies is pleased to announce the 2023 appointment of Bob Buseck as its Executive Director. Buseck is a well-respected IT leader with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the technology industry.

As Executive Director, Buseck will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, curriculum development, and fostering relationships with local businesses and organizations.

Previously, Buseck served as the Chief Information Officer for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency for four years, overseeing a number of improvements to MEMA’s effectiveness and efficiency, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. He began his career in the U.S. Army as a Signal Support Systems Specialist and then embarked on a civilian career serving in several communications and information technology roles, working with the Mississippi National Guard, cities, hospitals, medical centers and corporations in communications, information technology and management roles.

Buseck is a multifaceted professional with a wide range of interests and achievements, including being a devoted family man, talented musician, artist, and animal lover. He is passionate about using technology to drive positive change and has a deep-rooted dedication to the advancement and success of Mississippi.

The Mississippi Coding Academies is a non-profit organization that provides high-quality, tuition-free technology education to underserved communities in Mississippi. The academy’s mission is to create pathways to high-wage, high-demand careers in technology for Mississippians.
