MSCA’s Herbert Brown Honored as a ‘Young Professional On The Rise’
Herbert Brown, the Jackson-based classroom instructor for the Mississippi Coding Academies—a member of our original team of Coding Academies pros—has been honored at the Young, Gifted and Empowered Awards as a Young Professional on the Rise.
According to the organization, YG&E recognizes exceptional young African American professionals from Mississippi who are champions in the arts, business, philanthropy, education, innovation and leadership. Additionally, the honorees are between the age 25-45 and who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and community service; a high level of character, leadership, and innovation.
Herbert is a Tougaloo graduate who serves on the board of directors of The Algebra Project, a non-profit founded and headed by civil rights leader Bob Moses.
We’re thrilled to celebrate this honor with Herbert and happy to express our appreciation for the work he does every day to improve the lives and future careers of our coders at the Mississippi Coding Academies.
