Mississippi Coding Academies’ Celebrates the Golden Triangle 2021-22 Graduates
Students at the Mississippi Coding Academies’ Golden Triangle campus received their certificate of completion on July 15th, 2022. It was a well-deserved achievement after 11 months of training to become full-stack coders.
EMCC president Scott Alsobrooks congratulated the graduates on their achievements.
“Let’s go out and make new things happen. Let’s make some more magic. We are so delighted to see you graduates today get the certificate that you have earned.,” he said.
Jessika Hayes who is also a 2019 Coding Academies graduate was there to congratulate the recent grads for all their hard work.
George Lott from AvidxChange, a local software company that develops programs to automate the management of bill payments, applauded the student’s hard work and dedication. MCA Alumna Hannale Hylander shared her story and wisdom with the graduates. AvidxChange hired Hylander after she attended the Coding Academies program in 2019.
Dr. David Campbell, executive director of The Communiversity and Workforce Development, also wished the new group of coders well as they join the Mississippi tech industry.
The celebration’s location at EMCC Communiversity is home to the Golden Triangle campus.
The program is made possible by funding and support from private investment and affiliations with Mississippi State University, the University of Southern Mississippi, the Mississippi Development Authority and the Kellogg Foundation, the Mississippi Investment Board, and several other partners.
